Today I am grateful for my neighbor up the street and her talents! Recently our ward has been focused on emergency preparedness and food storage. One of my neighbors is an amazing bread maker and last night she did a little wheat/bread making class. I was so excited that I even hired a babysitter to come so that I could go to the class. The class was chock full of info and my neighbor made the yummiest samples. Here is one of the recipes she handed out which we had for breakfast this morning.
1 cup milk
1 cup wheat kernels
Blend in blender or food processor for 4-5 minutes until smooth (if you soak your wheat kernels for a few hours before hand or overnight you don't have to blend them for so long)
2 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp honey or sugar
Blend on low until mixed (25-30 seconds)

Funny thing! We had those for breakfast for the first time 5 days ago!! Yummy. Bella will eat a couple of those when she won't eat Krusteze!
